Gorgeous Wedding Hair
The Dyson Airwrap is a particularly innovative and versatile tool that can help you create a wide range of stunning looks. The Airwrap however, it not the only salon quality styling tool available. While many of the tools in this post have a lower price than the Airwrap, they are not “cheap” duplicates for the Airwrap. Instead, they are high quality alternative tools that can help you achieve a variety of wedding hair styles. Rollers, really? Yes! Curling irons? Don’t knock a classic. All in one tools? Absolutely. While we still love the Airwrap, it isn’t for everyone. Read on to see some of our favorite hair styling tools.

Rollers
Do these make us think of Grandma Jane? More like Glamourous Grandma Jane! Curl rollers, like these from Conair, are a low tech staple with a loyal following. And for good reason! Rollers come in a wide variety of sizes, helping you achieve curls from romantic ringlets to feathering to Cindy Crawford waves and volume. The smaller the size, the smaller the curl. Rollers may come with clips to keep them in place, or they may be Velcro like and hold themselves in place. Use rollers on damp or dry hair and use a setting spray. Leave rollers in place anywhere from an hour to over night in order to achieve the style you desire. The best part about rollers? Once they are in place, your hands are free, leaving you able to multitask.
Air Stylers / Brushes
Air stylers, sometimes called air brushes, are simple and effective tools to dry and style your hair all at once. Attachments, such as barrels and combs, can help add volume or waves while the styler is working. Air stylers are a great choice for loose waves and bohemian inspired wedding hair styles. Short hair, don’t care? An air styler can help you create texture, finger waves, and add volume to any long or short pixie style. Because you are using hot, blowing air to dry and style your hair, make sure to use a style product to tame fly-aways and reduce heat damage.
Classic Curling Irons
Curling irons do one thing (sometimes two) and they do it well. Classic barrel curling irons come in a wide variety of barrel sizes so that you can achieve the curl pattern you want for any wedding style. Regency updo with face framing tight curls? Look for a barrel that is 1 inch in diameter or smaller. Half up, half down with romantic waves? Try a 2 inch in diameter barrel or larger. Even if you choose an updo, using a curling iron on dry hair can help smooth strands while adding body and texture to your updo. Look for ionic and/or ceramic curling irons to help protect your hair from the high heat of the tool. Use a heat serum or other heat protecting product to add shine.
